HOW TO STAY SLIM AND FIT IF YOU HAVE A DESK JOB

Have you ever told yourself that you will start a new life tomorrow but then gave up on all your ideas because of the busy working schedule? We bet, this situation sounds familiar to many of you, especially if you have a desk job.

Sitting in the office all day long has a negative impact not only on your health but also can harm your figure due to an inactive lifestyle. If you don’t want to lose your shape while sitting at your desk, these simple tips will help you to keep your body toned and healthy.

Refuse from the following products:

Baked potato chips. Even if the chips are baked, it doesn’t make them healthy! Of course, they may contain fewer calories and fat that the regular potato chips, but if you want to stay fit despite the fact that you are spending 90% of your time sitting at the desk – you should forget about such harmful snacks!

Diet soda. Don’t take it for granted if on the bottle it says “calorie-free” or “diet”. Researchers from the University of Texas Health Science Center concluded that people who drank two or more diet sodas a day had larger waist sizes.

Energy drinks. Sometimes we just feel exhausted and need a small energy boost to stay awake during the day, but it is much better to drink a cup of tea, coffee or just have a glass of water instead of buying various energy drinks! These drinks have numerous bad side effects including mood changes, insomnia, and nervousness.

Include the following products into your daily diet:

Healthy snacks. When you need a quick bite between meals, give preference to the healthy products!

An orange. This fruit may help you relax. Research has shown that vitamin C can actually help lower the production of stress hormones.

Gum. Try chewing on a stick of gum to instantly defuse tension. In a recent study, while under moderate stress, gum chewers had salivary cortisol levels that were 12 percent lower than non-chewers. There is a link between high cortisol levels and storage of body fat, particularly visceral abdominal body fat, plus the stress will stimulate your appetite and lead to emotional eating.
